Frontier conducts various air transport, external load and training operations. Due to the wide variety of work and working conditions, we have selected to have based in our hangar an Airbus AS350B, Bell Long Ranger and Robinson R44. These aircraft cover most of our operations, extra helicopters or different types are available upon request and require at least 3 weeks notice.
The Airbus AS350. Commonly referred to as ‘the Squirrel’ or 'A-Star', this machine is a modern, 5 passenger seat open cockpit aircraft allows all passengers unencumbered, panoramic views. The Squirrel is an extremely versatile helicopter, lending itself effortlessly to luxury tourism and commercial work alike. Frontier's AS350 incorporates leather seating and 'Bose' noise cancelling headsets.

Often referred to as the ‘Robbie’, the R44 (Robinson R44) is a reliable three passenger, open view cockpit helicopter catering for smaller agricultural and tourism needs. Nimble enough to navigate through some of the most dynamic landscapes, the Robbie caters perfectly for smaller groups of up to three passengers. Our R44 aircraft are fitted with emergency 'pop-out' floats and clip on 'pods' for extra gear.

We are proud to welcome the 'Blackhawk' or Sikorsky UH60 as our newest fleet member. The Blackhawk is designed for heavy lifting, within New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Our aircraft is being configured for commercial operations in the US prior to shipping. We will have (4-5) pilots rated to fly and a small engineering team supporting the maintenance of this aircraft.
